Dog steroid shot

Not really sure if there is a connection here but I had two separate dogs of two separate breeds get cortisone shots for the disks in their backs, now the 1st dog (mini schnauzer) was fine for over a year after, until he started having seizures. The vet then gave him another shot for the swelling in the brain and he passed away a little less than 2 wks later. Now about a week ago my 2nd dog (American bulldog/pitbull mix) she is 13 yrs old and I noticed her having difficulty with her back legs. The vet also said it was her disks and gave her a shot and a prescription for methocarbamol. Then a week later she has a stroke. Please tell me if there seems to be a connection here. He also gave her another shot for the swelling in her brain after the stroke. I would really like to know if I am making a mistake going to this guy.

Hi Ed,
I am so glad I found your website. I just received my order of LickoChops and Dinovite. My puppies love it. My 10 year old boxer licks his feet constantly so I have started him on the starvation yeast diet, however I am cooking the beef. My question is if I give him the raw beef should I freeze it for 48 hours before giving it to him.
Also, since I have 2 dogs that will be on this diet can I add cauliflower, green beans and broccoli to this just to give it some more substance. If so can I give it to them raw or should I cook it?
I am giving cooked chicken livers as treats. Should I be concerned with high cholesterol?
Thank you,
Randee

If the ZD is helping then, stick with that. You said you have tried everything…? I know this sounds stupid, but is your baby off chicken and corn?
Chicken and turkey are considered “hot” foods in Chinese medicine. If you are giving your baby chickin treats they can cause this problem.
Do you give your baby a chew toy or a marrow bone? Sometimes they need to get anxiety out and if they don’t have anything, they chew on themselves.
There’s a web site, I love called http://
maybe they can help.
But, yes, get rid of the Apequel

The number of players who have admitted using steroids in a confidential survey conducted by the NCAA since the 1980s has dropped from percent in 1989 to percent in 2003. [5] During the 2003 season, there were over 7,000 drug tests, with just 77 turning up as positive test results. [5] Scukanec claims that methods were used to get around the drug testing, whether it be avoiding the tests by using the drugs during the off-season, or flushing the drugs out of your system. This was used with a liquid he referred to as the "pink." [5] He stated:

Steroids are ingestible, injectable or topical. But many nonsteriodal topical products are on the market. A topical treatment won't address your dog's underlying allergy causes, but it can provide nonsteroidal relief. Ask your veterinarian about shampoos, rinses, lotions and sprays made specifically for itchy skin conditions. A lime sulfur dip can control many itchy skin problems, but it is malodorous. Also try witch hazel , and pure aloe vera gel. Ask your vet about topical steroids; side effects from skin absorption seem to be minor.
