I’m trying to determine how many milligrams of iodine there is in a drop of 10% povidone-iodine. As a point of reference, Dr. Sircus has said the Lugol’s 2% contains mg potassium iodide and mg iodine. I know that 10% povidone-iodine is comprised of 90% water, % povidone-iodine, 1% available iodine, and iodide but I’m not sure of the math or what forms of iodine need to be included. I’m using povidone-iodine to topically treat a nasal staph infection in the form of a spray and I want verify that I’m not using too much. I don’t see this information in the Dr. Sircus’s ebook. Thank you.
